It was drinks all round for a very loyal and patient group of owners as Werd's little brother Relent scored a decisive victory at his first race start over 1000m at Pinjarra – the track where Werd still holds the 1000m track record!.
Beautiffully ridden down the straight by Jarrod Noske, Relent was handily placed in running all the way before turning on the afterburners and cruising to a 2.5 length victory.
It's been a year since Relent's first trial and the patience has paid off with his maturity into a beautiful 3 year old.
