It was a fantastic training feat by Gangemi Racing with Rock Magic stepping up from his 1000m vctory just a fortnight ago to a convincing win over 1400m at Belmont yesterday.
Perfectly positioned by Jarrad Noske just off the speed, the Redoutes Choice gelding cruised up to them at the turn and gave them windburn as he flew past them to ease down to a victory of almost 2 lengths.
The cheers of "Rocky, Rocky" were heard all over Belmont and the owners packed out the winners circle room and cheered on the video replay again and again.
With a final 600m of 33.5sec, Rock Magic has shown he's got the turn of foot to be a player in the upcoming summer carnival.
