It was a reward for patience as Call Nine One One (Stable name Sav) broke his maiden status over 2000m at Bunbury today. The son of Savabeel has been crying out for extra ground and was brilliantly ridden by Jarrad Noske from well back in the field to get up with a neck to spare.
After four 3rds in a row, Sav had been consistent without winning, but today's distance suited him perfectly and he is definitely a potential stayer of the future. His mother Bella Renza has won over $180k in NZ in good company up to 1600m, however, the strength of the Savabeel stallion line is certainly evident with this gelding and he has come home strongly in every start.
