At just his 5th race start, Forty Four Red (stablename Tom) has led all the way to record a strong win over 1420m at Bunbury today.  The flashy chestnut is owned by many of the girls who are partners of our strong group of regular owners. Whilst many of them are always there supporting our horses, it would have been a great thrill for many of them as first time owners in their own right!

Tom is a half-brother to our speedster Super Eighty Eight (from the mare Cataclopse), however, from a different stallion (Congrats) he shows a liking to the further ground and will benefit as the distances increase from today's effort.  Jumping beautifully to the front and well rated by jockey Jarrad Noske, Tom kicked away from them down the straight and was strong to the line to win by a 1/2 length with a further 2 lengths back to the 3rd horse.
